There are few crueler diseases than Cystic Fibrosis. It strikes children causing them severe breathing and digestion problems. When Heather Summerhayes Cariou's (CARY-you) little sister Pam was diagnosed with CF she was given six months to live. But their parents refused to give in, eventually founding the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada in the kitchen of their Brantford, Ontario home. The book she calls "a sister's memoir" is Sixty-Five Roses.
